Inspectech, German Company Agree to Cooperate

Inspectech develops and markets computerized systems based on advanced software and artificial vision, used for inspecting flaws in silicon wafers arising from the process of sawing them into individual chips.

Inspectech of Carmiel has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with German company Simac Masic, which markets and supports manufacturing equipment for high-tech plants.

Simac Masic belongs to the Simac Techniek group, which deals in information technology and industrial electronics.

Inspectech develops and markets computerized systems based on advanced software and artificial vision, used for inspecting flaws in silicon wafers arising from the process of sawing them into individual chips. The systems are aimed at deriving the maximum output from each silicon wafer when it is separated into chips.

Simac Masic will market Inspectech’s systems to silicon wafer foundries in Germany.

Inspectech was set up in 1997 by Michael Geffen and Avi Ben-Har. The company is owned b the entrepreneurs and by investment house Vertex Management of Singapore and Israeli companies Apax-Leumi and Seed Partners.
