Israel's TelesciCOM Unveils Internet Wireless Technology

TelesciCOM of Rishon Letzion is for the first time unveiling a revolutionary engine, enabling wireless communication for a mass of users, at a speed of 155 mbps and at a cost of less than $100 per user. The device will be demonstrated for the first time at the TechVentures exhibition, opening today (Wednesday) in the US.

The technology enables especially high transmission rates to be obtained from the Internet, through the use of wireless communications, rather than cables, as is customary today.

The company estimates that this technology will enable cellular operators to supply video broadcasts on the telephone display, and Internet providers will give homes a very high quality hook-up to the network without their having to pay Bezeq any unit call charges.

TelesciCOM was founded in 1997 and employs thirty development engineers. To date, its investors, via private placements, include Lasercom Investments and Neuron venture capital fund, and private investors.
