Start-up company Security-7 has announced the signing of an OEM agreement under which it will license its Dynamic Behavioral Inspection technology to Worldtalk. The agreement provides that Security-7’s content inspection engine CIE will be integrated into Worldtalk’s new WorldSecure/Web product. Worldtalk is a provider of e-mail content inspection solutions.
Security-7’s content inspection engine forms the basis of its SafeGate security product. It will enable Worldtalk customers to examine the content of applets, and apply to them the information security policy set by the organization. The technology examines contents on the basis of various methods of behavioral discrimination, including the source and destination of the item, its content, comparison to a database of hostile applets, identification and authentication of the applet on the basis of digital signatures, and real time checking against the organization’s rules.
Security-7 is the developer of an Internet security system that deals with Java, ActiveX, JavaScript, electronic signatures, and other Web applets. The system protects the organizational network against damage by malicious applets, according to security levels and programs set by the system administrator.
The system is intended for large and medium-size companies. It enable an organization management center to be set up, and all network workstations to be updated, and screened from mobile code liable to cause damage, or carry out operations such as theft of information, computer locking, and hard disk crashes - inadvertently or maliciously. The company was founded by Doron Elgressy and Asher Jospe, and is located in Yokneam.
