Israeli firm IMT Intournet today announced an agreement with the Renaissance Jerusalem Hotel making it the first international hotel in Israel to provide guests with complete Internet connectivity.
"From today, every guest staying at the Renaissance Jerusalem will be
able to connect to the Internet from their hotel room," said IMT Intournet general manager Yaakov Kessler. "We are also providing the hotel with an online service center via the Internet that helps to increase their world-wide marketing efforts. We
also have strategic locations throughout the hotel which includes
conference rooms where guests can also access the net."
The Renaissance Jerusalem is Israel’s largest hotel with 650 guest
rooms. The agreement allows guests to access the Internet from
selected areas around the hotel including conference rooms and the lobby.
IMT Intournet maintains a business office in the hotel that also provides
traditional services such as faxing, copying and rental of computer equipment.
"This is part of our program to remain on the cutting edge of hotel
technology", said Renaissance Jerusalem general manager Rico Rosenthal, who cited other improvements such as switchboard equipped with voice mail, telephones with data ports, and electric locks.
IMT Intournet, a two year old, Jerusalem-based company, develops Internet solutions for the tourist industry.
The Renaissance Jerusalem is part of the Ramada group.
