The volume of the projects is DM 13 million, as part of a total DM 1 billion in funding granted to Jordan by the German government.

The local BTZ representative in Amman, said that aid was given to Jordan, on an annual basis, in the form of financial, technical, technological and other assistance, with the approval of both governments.

Jordan suffers from limited water resources. The problem is aggravated by damage to the existing water transport infrastructure, and lack of maintenance. The BTZ representative said the water shortage widened the gap between supply and demand.
