Jordanian Newspaper: Mossad Agents Expelled From Jordan

The daily "Ad Dustour" quoted a senior Jordanian official who said that all Mossad agents attached to the Israeli embassy were expelled three days after the operation against Khaled Meshal.

A Jordanian newspaper today claimed that Jordan had expelled Mossad agents and suspended security cooperation with Israel, in response to the assassination attempt on Khaled Meshal.

The daily "Ad Dustour" quoted a senior Jordanian official who said that all Mossad agents attached to the Israeli embassy were expelled three days after the operation against Meshal.

"How can Jordan cooperate with a country that has betrayed her on her own territory?" the official asked.

The Jordanian newspaper also said that the Mossad agents were expelled as soon as Jordan knew for sure that the Mossad was responsible for the attempt on Meshal’s life.

The Jordanian official refused to give say how many Mossad agents were expelled.
