Leading Food Supplements Manufacturer GNC to Begin Israel Operation in June

The expected annual investment is $1 million, including setting up General Nutrition Center stores, equipment, training and hiring of professionals, setting up a central warehouse etc.

US food supplement giant General Nutrition Center, a leading manufacturer-distributor of vitamins, minerals and medicinal herbs, is set to open its first two stores in Israel. According to plan, GNC will open 15 branches over a five year period in Israel.

The company’s Israel operations will be handled by a licensee group headed by Guy Provisor. GNC’s annual turnover is $1.1 billion with 3,200 stores worldwide.

The company will set up its first branch in the Rehovot Mall. The second will open in the Herzilya Pituach Business Park. Each of the stores will cover a 150-200 sq.m area.
