Magic Software Enterprises has announced the signing of a strategic cooperative agreement with leading European software house consulting and service provider Cap Gemini. According to the agreement, 3,500 client-server licenses will be bought, for use as Cap Gemini’s strategic applications system.
Cap Gemini employs over 27,000 people, in 17 countries across Europe, the US and the Far East. 1996 revenues were $2.9 billion.
The system, developed by Magic and marketed by Cap Gemini, is a software suite intended for carrying out strategic accounting functions at financial institutions. The system is also marketed to the insurance and manufacturing sectors, and to large corporations.
Magic, which is publicly traded on Wall Street, is owned by Mashov Computers (44%) and the general public.
