The value of the five-year project is estimated at $40 million.
Tnuva has shortlisted two companies, Malam and EDS, in the tender to supply it with outsourcing services. Malam employs the services and methodology of Canadian company Systemhouse, while EDS Israel is part of the international EDS group. Other bidders in the previous stage of the tender were Digital-Formula and IBM-Tadiran Information Systems.
Tnuva is Israel’s biggest foodstuffs manufacturer and retail organisation, and its computerisation project will be one of the largest in the economy. According to the tender specifications, Tnuva seeks to achieve a 20% saving on current costs. Annual expenditure is estimated at $10 million, and the value of the five-year project at $40 million. This sum is likely to grow, depending on what goes into the service package to be agreed between the parties.
