British chain store Marks & Spencer is considering establishing an underwear chain.
British chain store Marks & Spencer is examining the possibility of renewed activities in Israel. The chain store was approached by several Israeli sources that tried to interest it in setting up a chain of small stores for marketing and selling only underwear.
Marks & Spencer’s management decided six months ago to close its chain of stores in Israel, which was set up in partnership with Hamashbir Lazarhan, after it sustained prolonged losses. At that time, the company published an announcement in which it stated that it would continue to examine possibilities of marketing in Israel.
Close sources noted that these were only preliminary examinations, not regarded by management as top priority.
No comment was available from Marks & Spencer’s representatives in Israel.
