NetManage and Microsoft to Cooperate in Internet-Windows Integration

NetManage and Microsoft announced a joint development agreement according to which both companies will join forces developing new automatic control links, to be integrated into future Internet protocols planned by Microsoft. According to Roger Heinen, senior vice president of the Developer Division at Microsoft, the new controls, to be embedded as "OLE" links built into the Microsoft's systems, will make it very simple for developers working with standard OLE development tools, to add Internet access and protocols to their existing applications.
The controls will operate in all current OLE control containers, including Microsoft Visual Basic, Visual FoxPro, Visual C++ and Access, as well as third party products. Product details and availability dates were not announced at this time
