Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today sharply attacked Adv. Amnon Zichroni and opposition politicians. "Zichroni should be ashamed," Netanyahu said.
"This is a broader phenomenon. Opposition politicians were caught lying, and made headlines, exploiting the matter to undermine the standing of a judge in Israel. In the last two years, I have been the object of smears and abuse. My wife, and my children, and I serve as their target, and they can be described as character assassination. The personal price is painful, but beyond the personal price, social hatred is generated which eats away at the fabric of Israeli society. The time has come to say, enough," Netanyahu said.
