Macpell and its US partner will purchase Ouman's
equipment from Polgat for $1 million.
The Polgat company has resolved to withdraw from
partnership in the enterprise being set up by Macpell
and its US partner. Polgat was to hold 15% in the joint
enterprise being established based on the Ouman plant,
which got into difficulties and was closed down by
Polgat.
The decision to withdraw was reached on the basis of
Clal's strategic considerations, whereby no advantage
attaches to entering into a knitwear plant, especially
with a non-influential 15% holding.
Macpell and its US partner will accordingly purchase
Ouman's equipment from Polgat for $1.1 million, and will
assign the leasehold rights to the Ouman plant building
in Ofakim
