Porsche is planning a large advertising campaign to kick off activity in Israel, and expects to sell some 15 cars in the first year.
A senior member of Rolls Royce’s management has told "Globes" his company is negotiating exports to Israel with Israeli business contacts. One contact is a large local auto importer, and the second, according to Rolls Royce, is a private businessman with a large collection of cars.
The private businessman was not named, but it should be noted that the largest collection of vintage cars in Israel is located at the Tefen Museum, owned by Eitan Wertheimer.
The head of international sales at Porsche has confirmed that exports of the luxury car to Israel will commence shortly. The Porsche display showroom is expected to open in late November or early December, and will be operated by two salespersons trained by Porsche. The company expects to sell 15 cars in its first year of activity in Israel. Penetration of the Israeli market will be accompanied by an advertising and public relations campaign.
