The prosecution requested to sentence Dinitz to imprisonment and a
significant fine. Judge Shalom Brener, took into consideration Dinitz's
clean record.
Jewish Agency Former CEO, Simha Dinitz, was fined NIS 40,000,
after being convicted of fraudulent receiving and breach of faith.
Jerusalem District Court Deputy Chief Justice, Judge Shalom Brener, took
into consideration Dinitz's clean record and stated that the man is the
"salt of the earth". Soon after the delivery of the sentence, Dinitz
said that the past three years were very hard, and that his top priority
had always been promoting the immigration of a half a million Jews to
Israel.
The prosecution requested to sentence Dinitz to imprisonment and a
significant fine, after the court convicted him of 17 cases of
fraudulent use of Jewish Agency American Express credit card. However,
Judge Brener decided to sentence Dinitz to a NIS 40,000 fine.
