While Switzerland claimed neutrality, and prided itself on avoiding any entanglement with the Nazis, the fact is that Switzerland traded extensively with the Nazis. Not only did Switzerland sell the Nazis arms and supplies, it financed the Nazis by buying gold looted from the various central banks of Europe and looted Jewish property. It also allowed the Nazis full use of its banking and railroad systems. According to the Eizenstat Report, Switzerland prolonged the war by trading with, and financing, the Nazis. Incredibly, Swiss protection of the Nazis continued after the war.
