Tadiran Telecommunications’ Multigain Wireless system (MGW) has been successfully implemented at the Turkish Telecom site in Ankara. MGW is an advanced Wireless Local Loop telecommunications system, based on spread-spectrum FH-CDMA radio. The MGW system will enable Turkish Telecom to provide telecommunications service to hundreds of subscribers in a two remote villages.

The festive launch ceremony, attended by more than 100 Turkish Telecom personnel, included a demonstration in which system-connected phones were operated to demonstrate MGW’s characteristics and features.

MGW systems are commercially operated in more than 20 countries, worldwide.

The FH-CDMA radio technologies incorporated in the MGW were originally developed by Tadiran for military communications, but have been adapted by TTL for the civilian/commercial market. MGW serves as a competitive alternative to copper-wire telecom services.
