Zisser Invests $220 Mln in Hungarian Shopping Malls

One of the malls near Budapest is being built in equal partnership with businessman Eli Papouchado.

Businessman Motti Zisser is currently investing $220 million in 7 shopping malls and a group of power-centers (super shopping malls) in Hungary. The largest project is the $100 million, 280,000 sq. m Duna Plaza power center in Budapest near the Ofer Brothers shopping mall. The power-centers are being built on 22.5 acre lots (approximately 90 dunam) which Zisser’s company has purchased over the past years. The area is rented to international companies including Tesco, Home Center, Office Depot, do-it-yourself chains, and Hungarian entrepreneurs.

At the same time, Zisser is building 7 shopping malls in Hungarian cities at an investment of $120 million. Each mall has 20,000 sq. m and requires a $17 million investment. One of the malls near Budapest is being built in equal partnership with businessman Eli Papouchado.
