Idor Systems is in the concluding stages of adapting the Blue Square Co-op’s computer systems for Y2000. The volume of the project was not reported, but it is estimated at NIS 1 million.
The project includes adapting Blue Square’s central computer systems for normal operation with year 2000 dates, warranty for acceptance testing, supervision of the application of the new software among users and overall management of the project. The project uses a software program developed by Idor Systems.
Idor Systems develops and markets software tools and services for the Minister of National Infrastructure AS/400 environment, specialising, inter alia, in the conversion of systems for Y2000 and for the Euro. To date, the company has executed Y2K conversion projects for a number of companies in Israel. The company also has co-operation agreements in Y2000 projects with software houses in Europe and South Africa.
