AudioCodes to Raise $42 Mln in IPO

AudioCodes sells its products to Alcatel, Cisco, and VocalTec, among others. The IPO will take place on Wall Street at a company value of $220 million.

Internet communications components producer AudioCodes, is expected to raise $42 million on Wall Street in the next few days, on the basis of a company value of $220 million.

AudioCodes sells its products to Alcatel, Cisco, and VocalTec, among others. Shareholders in the company include Genesis Partners, with a share package worth $30 million. Genesis is a venture capital fund managed by Israeli representatives of the US investment bank Oppenheimer. The fund, set up in 1997, manages a total of $90 million in investments.

AudioCodes closed Q1 ’99 with $5.8 million in revenues, and a net profit of $1.6 million.
