Internet-Bezeq International today announced a unique product it has developed - an Internet remote control for the simple operation of an easy access to selected sites. It operates in a manner similar to a television remote control. The company has also launched a unique hook-up package for the private sector.
The Internet-Bezeq International control is a virtual one, existing on the company’s home database, while zipping is done with the aid of a mouse. It was developed by Israel's Box Interactive.
Internet-Bezeq International reported that the development of the Internet remote control was prompted by the recognition that customers should be offered familiar tools, unrelated to computers or technology perceived as complicated.
Tomorrow the company’s new home site will be on the Internet. The site is constructed in a unique fashion, which distinguishes between novice surfers and veteran surfers. Advanced surfers have a portal, like other, parallel Israeli portals, (Walla, Dapei Reshet, Tapuz and others). Novice surfers are offered the virtual remote control
According to Yoav Weinberg, Internet-Bezeq International’s deputy general manager, the remote control allows beginners a softer entry into the Internet compared to entering into the commonly used portals. He assesses that, after surfing for one month, the beginner will switch from the remote control to the ordinary portal.
In addition, Internet-Bezeq International today announced two hook-up packages for private sector Internet surfers, which are unique in that their prices are shekel-denominated. One, called 5:5, is intended for novice surfers; the monthly subscription fee is NIS 10, first 5 surfing hours are free of charge, and each additional hour costs NIS 5. Unlimited surfing costs NIS 140 per month.
Internet-Bezeq International also offers a hook-up diskette, an Explorer 5 browser and a round-the-clock support centre that can be reach by dialling a 4-digit number.
