The intention is that the cellular world should merge with the Internet world.
Sunny Electronics, sole importer of the cellular telephone instruments of mammoth concern Samsung, today announced its acquisition of 80% of the Achla Portal. The deal was transacted through subsidiary Sunny Communications.
According to Sunny chairman Ilan Ben Dov, the motive in acquiring control in Achla was to achieve a synergetic combination of the Internet and the cellular worlds. Sunny plans to use Achla to provide information tailored to the needs of the stationary and mobile customer, wherever he may be: on the office or home computer, or on the cellular telephone display, and so forth.
"Within six months", Ben-Dov says, "We will be able to utilise Achla’s full potential with the aid of Samsung’s cellular telephone instruments, which will provide full Internet access and direct connectivity to the Achla site".
