MK Yossi Pritzky and the Shinui party applied to the HCJ today against the government and the Ministers of Transport, National Infrastructures and of Internal Security, requesting it to direct the transfer of the Israel Electric Corporation’s turbine
on Friday and Saturday.
The petitioners claim that police instructions should be followed, and that the damage that will be caused the public if the turbine is transported during weekdays necessitates its transfer on Saturday.
The petitioners claim the public interest in maintaining free movement of traffic should override the interest of preventing possible injury to the religious public’s sensibilities.
