Enigma of Israel Buys Two Companies from Inso for $15 Mln

The acquired companies develop business information management systems.

Israeli company Enigma Information Systems, whose field is electronic publishing on the Internet and on CD, has announced the signing of an agreement with Inso Corporation of the US whereby it will acquire two companies owned by Inso. The companies supply software for publishing technical documentation. The deal is worth $15 million.

Under the agreement, Enigma will buy Inso Providence of the US, and Swedish company Synex Information AB. Enigma US will buy the shares of Inso Providence, while Enigma Israel will buy the shares of Synex.

Enigma produces parts catalogues and technical documentation for large systems, such as aircraft, jet engines, railways, and so on. General manager Jonathan Yaron said the company planned integrate its product lines with those of Inso and Synex, and thus provide Inso and Enigma’s customers with the infrastructure needed to carry out e-commerce in spare parts between them and their own customers.

Inso develops and markets solutions for the management, exchange, and dynamic provision of business information. Inso’s technology, which has won several awards, enables large companies to manage and publish a variety of information.
