Arab States Refuse to Purchase Products of Israel Co Middle East Tube

The company general manager: the identification of our products as Israeli hurts us.

Middle East Tube, owned by the Koor concern, is having difficulty marketing its products to Arab countries at peace with Israel, such as Jordan and Egypt, according to company general manager Oded Shahar. He said that Arab countries are unwilling to purchase the company's products, saying that they bear Israeli markings.

Shahar spoke at a business meeting in Haifa. He called for the Manufacturers Association to set up a regional market for the Middle East to prevent incidents of this kind, and eliminate external differences between products originating in Israel and those from other countries.
