Two Taiwanese companies, Procom and ProTech, are engaged in preliminary negotiations with a number of Israeli high-tech plants and with the Ashkelon technological incubator. The negotiations are aimed at investment in joint projects and the purchase of high-tech technologies developed in the incubator. The talks are being conducted through Procom's representative in Israel.
Procom and ProTech invest in high-tech plants. They are also involved in the development and manufacture of products in the computer, cellular handset, and miniature camera sectors.
