The Walla portal and Vshop are setting up an Internet site for comparing
prices of e-commerce sites operating in Israel and overseas. The service is
provided gratis. The site will also include a rating of services provided
by the shopping sites. Among the criteria to be examined: the level of
security on the site, service quality and user convenience. Consumers will
be able to register complaints on services provided by the online shops,
and the site will publish complaints it finds justified.
The price comparison service will be provided to Internet surfers,
without requiring them to visit e-commerce sites. The site will present a
table of comparison of any given product between the different sites on
which it is offered for sale. The service currently includes only two
categories of products: books and records.
