Baan Completes ERP in Picker Medical Systems

The volume of the project is $1.2 million.

Baan representative in Israel VBSI has completed the first stage of ERP system deployment in Picker Medical Systems, a subsidiary of Picker International. The volume of the project is $1.2 million.

Picker Medical Systems develops, manufactures and exports advanced tomography (CT) systems. The project was carried out in six months, aimed at providing a rapid solution for operation of Picker information systems, after the company acquired Elscint's CT activity in Israel and overseas. Following the acquisition, Picker was compelled to deal with new requirements in information systems, as Elscint's ERP project was not in line with the new business processes.

Baan's ERP system was applied in Picker without any changes or adjustments, and was based on Baan methodology.

The Baan group, which specializes in providing business solutions for corporate computerization, is one of ten large software companies worldwide that are leaders in ERP. Baan ended 1998 with a sales turnover of more than $1 billion.
