German EM.TV to Issue 25% of Talit Productions in Munich, Tel Aviv

The German company acquired 50% of Talit Productions for $12 million at the beginning of December.

The German television company EM.TV plans to issue 20-25% of the shares of Talit Productions, which it owns jointly with Yehuda Talit, on the Munich and Tel Aviv stock exchanges.

EM.TV acquired 50% of the shares in Talit Productions for $12 million at the beginning of December. The remaining 50% share is retained by Yehuda Talit.

EM.TV is one of the largest network television production and commerce companies in Europe. EM.TV focuses on content materials for children. The company has a large library of materials, and holds the concession for the Flintstones and Sesame Street brand names, both in Germany and internationally.

EM.TV has been cooperating with Talit since 1998. The company plans to launch a new children's channel in Israel, which will operate under EM's "Junior TV" portfolio. The two companies are also cooperating in the sale and marketing of animated cartoons and products from EM's Junior catalogue, as well as in sale of broadcasting rights in Israel.

Talit Productions manager Liran Talit confirmed the intention of floating Talit Productions in the first half of 2000. He refused to disclose the size of Talit Productions' revenues.
