R&R chairman Izik Radashkovich opened the capital market section of "Globes" yesterday, and the sky darkened. His partner, R&R general manager Guy Rosenhoiz, was fully exposed as a fraud. Under the headline "Bullshit.com", Rosenhoiz was shown trying to mislead potential investors in the Provillio Internet company (the article appears in today's edition of the Arena).
Radashkovich, 53, is no neophyte in business. He has a good reputation as the builder of Yeda Computers, Apple Computers's representative in Israel. Radashkovich holds 43% of Yeda's shares, which is traded on the Tel Aviv stock exchange, and serves as general manager.
In a conversation today with "Globes", Radashkovich sought to correct his and R&R's tarnished image resulting from Rosenhoiz's haste. "I find the whole story really unpleasant. One of the things I have carefully guarded over my entire lifetime is my most important asset: my good name. Up until now, I think I did well.
"Let me make this clear: I am not avoiding responsibility for the failed choice of general manager. Guy is only a young man, but I have no doubt that he failed in his position as R&R general manager. Perhaps I also failed in choosing him for the job. In any case, it (the question of Rosenhoiz's continuing in his position as R&R general manager) is an internal company matter requiring consideration.
"I was very hurt by the way things were presented in the article. I have no problem with painful things being written when they are true, but I don't think names should be inserted in a way that makes people think that Izik Radashkovich tells lies.
I agree with you that in this crazy Internet era, there are many companies making up stories, and I'm not going to get into that subject. It bothers me that you did not identify yourself as a reporter when you are in this kind of meeting. This doesn't excuse Guy for what he did, of course".
