ShelCad Communications announced today that its innovative Hi-Phone PCMCIA has been named Internet Telephony Magazine's 1999 Product of the Year.
In addition, ShelCad's Hi-Phone PCMCIA, the newest member of the Hi-Phone family, has won Best of Show awards at TMC's CTI Expo Spring '99 and at Miller Freeman's CT Expo '99.

The unique credit card size device significantly enhances the voice quality of calls. The Hi-Phone PCMCIA plugs into a portable computer and connects to any analog telephone. While checking e-mails or browsing the net, the user can pick up the phone and make or receive a phone call. It also features an on-board SLIC, voice processing, a phone ringer, DTMF tones, and ActiveX, Wave, TAPI, and lower level software drivers for Windows 95, 98 and NT.
