NICE Systems (Nasdaq: NICE) today announced the appointment of Koby Huberman, former vice president of marketing for the Enterprise Internetworking Systems Group (EIS) of Lucent Technologies, as NICE's new senior vice president of global marketing. Reinforcing NICE's global management team, Huberman will be responsible for guiding the company's corporate marketing strategy and leading the worldwide marketing teams, reporting to NICE's Chairman, Benny Levin.

``Koby Huberman brings over fifteen years of extensive experience in executive management, sales and marketing operations of high tech companies, as well as strong global experience in the USA, Europe and Asia. He is a high-caliber business and marketing professional and is sure to be a major asset to NICE's management team,'' said Benny Levin.

Since October 1998, Huberman has been responsible for the definition of Lucent's EIS Group's marketing strategy and led the strategic marketing initiatives and global operations.

Huberman joined Lucent Technologies following the acquisition of LANNET, an Israeli-based pioneer in LAN data switching. Between 1995-98, he served as LANNET's VP of global marketing and business development, responsible for the company's business and marketing strategy.

From 1990-1995, Huberman served as the Managing Director of ServiceSoft Europe, a pan-European leading vendor of artificial intelligence and knowledge-based software for customer service applications, based in Brussels.
