RADGUARD and Allot Communications Join Forces to Deliver QOS for IPSec VPN

RADGUARD, the leading producer of IPSec Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions, and Allot Communications, a leading provider of policy-based Quality Of Service (QOS) enforcement systems and Service Level Agreement (SLA) solutions, today announced that they have entered into a technology partnership to offer QOS for IPSec Virtual Private Networking.

The RADGUARD-Allot cooperation will combine the two companies' products into a seamless package of IPSec VPN and QOS solutions. It will give companies the freedom to choose their bandwidth and prioritize their data within an IPSec VPN.

"Allot Communications is proud to work with RADGUARD on presenting a unique solution to the Internet infrastructure market," said Eran Ziv, president of Allot Communications. "Our NetEnforcer family of policy-based QOS products is a natural addition to the RADGUARD solution family. The integration of the two provides real synergies through the combination of QOS and IPSec."

The strategic cooperation will combine Allot Communications' NetEnforcer family of products with the RADGUARD cIPro product line. The coupling of the products will allow for the specification of Type of Service (ToS) information as part of the secure IPSec datagram, allowing increased bandwidth and QOS functions in conjunction with IPSec Virtual Private Networking.

In addition, the use of standard ToS data ensures that downstream routers recognize traffic prioritization, thus extending the scope of data traffic management to all sides of a RADGUARD-based VPN.

"The RADGUARD-Allot relationship is a model of technology cooperation in the service of solving user needs," said Eli Herscovitz, president and CEO of RADGUARD Ltd. "The coupling of RADGUARD's cutting-edge IPSec VPN products with Allot's QOS systems provides a best-of-breed solution to the secure networking and bandwidth management needs of customers worldwide. We look forward to the growth of this new partnership, and the success it undoubtedly will bring."

Allot Communications develops, manufactures and markets policy-based networking solutions. In an era of increasing network chaos and bandwidth-hungry applications, there is a need for products that handle network traffic according to its importance to corporate or service provider goals. Rather than simply continuing to increase network bandwidth, Allot's products provide a more structured policy-based approach to ensuring the quality and availability of network services, resources and applications.
