Israeli Defense Industries Presentations at Asian Aerospace 2000 Air Show Opening Today in Singapore

The Israeli presentation is under the title, "The world's fifth largest weapons exporter". Israel Aircraft Industries, Israel Military Industries, El-Op, Cyclone, and Silver Arrow are participating in the exhibition.

Fifteen Israeli defense industries are presenting products at the air show opening today in Singapore, entitled "Asian Aerospace 2000". The air show is considered the third most important in the world, after the Paris Air Show and Farnborough 2000. More than 950 companies from 30 countries are participating in the exhibition. Israel is presenting under the title, "The world's fifth largest weapons exporter". The Israeli presentation is being organized by the Export Institute and the Ministry of Defense.

Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) is presenting its long-range executive aircraft, "Galaxy", which flew to Singapore from the US. The company predicts that its plane will have customers from Asia, which has the most crowded airports in the world. IAI is also presenting its unmanned aircraft "Harpy", which has been supplied to South Korea, and its military intelligence satellite, "Ofek-3". Elta is presenting its radar system for unmanned aircraft.

Israel Military Industries (IMI) is presenting its unmanned attack aircraft, "I-Tald", and its 600-gallon fuel tanks, which are likely to fit F-16 airplanes, hundreds of which are operated in the Far East. IMI will also present a variety of weapons, including its new "Tavor" assault rifle. Tadiran Spectrlink is presenting radio devices for rescuing combat troops, and Elisra Electronic Systems is presenting its airborne defense systems.

ElOp is presenting at the pavilion of Elbit Systems, with which it has merged. ElOp will exhibit its cameras, which will be installed in the Eros civilian satellite, and Elbit Systems will present its helmet-integrated air-combat simulator, its night vision system with mobile map, a tank computer, and an advanced pilot's helmet. Silver Arrow is presenting its "Hermes 1500" unmanned high altitude long endurance system. Karmiel-based Cyclone is presenting its capability for refurbishing and maintaining helicopters and manufacturing airplane components. Israel Armament Development Authority (Rafael) is presenting the "Spike" missile for use by combat troops and the Popeye-2 missile for airplanes, its "Litening" target illumination system, and its system for training evaluation and upgrading tank command positions.
