NUR Macroprinters Partners With SVECIA AB to Distribute NUR Fresco Wide-Format Digital Production Press to Screen Printers

NUR Macroprinters Ltd. (Nasdaq: NURM), a world-leading manufacturer of wide and superwide format digital printing systems, today announced it has signed an agreement with SVECIA AB of Stockholm, Sweden for the distribution of the NUR Fresco(TM) wide-format digital production press in the screen printing market. SVECIA, a leading supplier of high quality screen printing equipment with representation in 60 countries around the world, will market the NUR Fresco as a complement to its broad line of conventional screen printing products.

``Many of our existing customers are already investing in wide-format digital printing machines. We very much see the NUR Fresco as a complementary printing solution for them, enabling them to offer their customers short or medium runs at competitive prices,'' says Tomas Karlsson, chairman of SVECIA. ``We are happy to be able to offer the NUR Fresco. It will fill the gap between existing low-productivity digital printers and traditional screen printing equipment, because the NUR Fresco is ideally suited to high throughput workloads, whilst maintaining quality results.''

The agreement between the two companies calls for joint marketing efforts by both companies for the NUR Fresco through SVECIA's existing distribution channels. SVECIA will initially begin to distribute the NUR Fresco in Scandinavia and Germany -- with the potential for expanded distribution in other areas of the world as the planned, long-term relationship evolves.

Comments Erez Shachar, president and CEO of NUR Macroprinters, ``Working with SVECIA, a technology and market leader in screen printing equipment, will open up many doors for us. In addition, we will benefit from their strong existing sales and technical support infrastructure. Likewise, the synergy between NUR Fresco and the SVECIA product line is sure to make it easier for screen printers to address the digital revolution and benefit from one of the best, most productive products on the market.''

Adds Ron Michael, vice president of marketing at NUR Macroprinters, ``This is the first strategic partnership of this sort between a manufacturer of wide-format digital printing equipment and a manufacturer of conventional screen printing equipment. We see this as the best way to serve the specialized and changing needs of wide-format screen printers around the world.''
