Allot Communications, a leading provider of policy-based networking solutions, and TeleKnowledge, a developer of value-based billing and customer care solutions for broadband service and content providers, announced today a strategic marketing and technology agreement. TeleKnowledge and Allot's integrated product will allow customers to pay for the actual quality of services they agreed to.
As a result of this agreement, service providers will be able to measure relevant network usage, evaluate customer-specific service agreement information and bill customers based on the quality of IP services actually delivered. Teleknowledge's Total-e(TM) brings the benefit of value-based billing to the integration, while Allot delivers capabilities for enforcing Quality of Service agreements.
``We are very pleased to be working with TeleKnowledge,'' stated Azi Ronen, Allot's Vice President of Marketing. ``Together, we are able to provide a full service level management solution, including enforcement of quality of service, and customer care and billing. Service providers are certain to benefit from our ability to offer these key quality-based services to their customers.''
Allot's NetEnforcer gives users the power to intelligently shape bandwidth and deliver system-wide service level guarantees based on the needs and priorities of the customer. Allot's hardware-based bypass technology ensures 100% availability and redundancy. In addition, Allot's policy-based network management product, NetPolicy(TM) enables network-wide policy-based, customization, provisioning and monitoring of the NetEnforcers.
Using its LDAP interface, the NetPolicy will be fed user information via the TeleKnowledge billing and customer care (BCC) interface. Using a RADIUS(tm) interface, the NetEnforcer will feed the TeleKnowledge BCC accounting information, enabling it to perform billing functions at the IP session level. Through a single intuitive user interface, customers are able to track service levels and bill customers accordingly.
``Accommodating varying service levels is key to creating value-based service offerings, and building long term relationships with customers,'' stated Raanan Peleg, TeleKnowledge Vice President and General Manager, Europe. ``By combining the two companies offerings, service providers will be well equipped to seamlessly offer quality of service along with customer care and billing capabilities needed to keep up with the changing service needs of customers.''
As part of the joint marketing agreement, the two companies will engage in cooperative marketing and promotional activities including: tradeshows, press releases, web presence and joint selling.
