Israeli start-up Flash Networks has completed a second private placement amounting to $9.5 million. The company value for the placement was not disclosed, but market estimates say it stood at $30 million, after money.
Investors in the current capital raising round are Gilat Satellite Communications, which recently set up a satellite Internet venture with Microsoft in the US; venture capital funds Etgar, Giza, Vertex and Concord, and US investment company Argoquest.
In its first private placement in 1998, the company raised $3 million from Vertex and Concord.
