Austrian investment company March Fifteen has announced the establishment of a branch in Israel for investing in Israeli start-up companies operating in the Internet and e-commerce sectors.
The company today also reported its first investment in an Israeli high-tech company: $200,000 in Omniget. Omniget has developed a unique search engine, which the investors say will set a new Internet search standard. Omniget is managed by Lior Porat.
March Fifteen was set up last year, and has since invested in companies such as Astronaut and Binimal. The company has offices in Vienna, Warsaw, Zurich and now in Tel Aviv as well. One of the objectives March Fifteen has set for itself is to expand its operations in Israel. Other objectives include promoting the European market's share in the Internet economy and the expansion of operations in Eastern Europe.
The company's Israeli branch will be led by Amy Lev, formerly the representative of Newman International, an executive recruitment company.
