When Police Commissioner Yehuda Wilk presented President Ezer Weizman with a small model of Jerusalem, Weizman turned to Major General Yossi Sadbon, head of the Investigation Department, and asked him whether he was allowed to accept the gift.

President Ezer Weizman today said he had no complaints against the police over the way it had conducted the investigation against him in the Saroussi affair. Weizman made this comment at a ceremony in which he bade farewell to top police officers.

A few hours before tendering his resignation, Weizman came to the police's national headquarters to bid farewell to top police officers, including those involved in the criminal investigation against him. The findings of this investigation were among the reasons leading to his resignation. "I've no complaints against the investigators," Weizman told Police Commissioner Yehuda Wilk. "As far as I'm concerned, it's all over and done with, and I'm glad about that," Weizman added.

The meeting was conducted in a jovial atmosphere. When Wilk presented President Ezer Weizman with a small model of Jerusalem, Weizman turned to Major General Yossi Sadbon, head of the Investigation Department, and asked him whether he was allowed to accept the gift.
