“Yediot Ahronot”: Samsung Considering Partnership in Go Next Cellular Internet Co

Samsung is operating a special cellular Internet network in Australia, using tools and methods developed in Israel by Go Next.

The “Yediot Ahronot” daily reported that Samsung International, one of the major sponsors of the Sydney Olympic Games, has chosen Israeli cellular Internet company Go Next to provide international cellular Internet content for its devices as part of its Olympic Internet broadcasts.

According to Eilon Ginzburg, general manager of Suny.com, which owns 49% of Go Next, the company’s selection is part of a trial being conducted by Samsung, which is considering a partnership in Go Next, by purchasing shares in either Go Next or Suny.com. The remaining Go Next shares are held by Pele-Phone.

Samsung is attempting to apply the cellular portal model set up in Israel for Pele-Phone in Europe. Go Next is currently considering Samsung’s offer to initially set up a similar cellular site in Turkey.
