The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) bombed Arafat’s home in Gaza.
Two soldiers, whose names had not been released for publication as of web posting, were murdered after losing their way on a mission. They were taken into custody by Palestinian policemen and led to the Ramallah police headquarters, where the policeman beat them.
An incited mob fell on the building, dragged out the soldiers, and murdered them by stabs, blows, and kicks in the main Ramallah square. Initial pathological examinations of the bodies showed severe abuse by the mob even after the murder.
