The agreement will lead to nationwide deployment of BreezeCOM equipment, with initial emphasis on Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and North Carolina.

California-based US company PhatPipe, which provides broadband services to industrial buildings, has announced it will purchase broadband wireless access equipment from Israeli company BreezeCOM for $5 million.

PhatPipe says that by combining BreezeCOM’s fixed wireless equipment with DSL technology, it will be able to provide broadband high speed voice and data services to industrial buildings and parks at a fraction of the usual cost.

The company noted that more than 25% of the 770,000 commercial buildings in the US consist of industrial properties. The agreement will lead to nationwide deployment of BreezeCOM equipment, with initial emphasis on Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and North Carolina.
