Following the consolidation of dialing zones, many more customers will be able to talk at local-call rates throughout the day.
Bezeq is canceling the 06 and 07 dialing zones as of Sunday. The 06 dialing zone will be added to the 04 dialing zone and the 07 dialing zone will be added to the 08 dialing zone. The changes are part of a Ministry of Communications numbering campaign. Telephone numbers in these zones will not change, only the area dialing code.
Bezeq announced that it will still be possible to make calls in two ways for the next few weeks – either using the new area code or the old, to allow customers to get accustomed to the change.
Bezeq vice president for marketing and sales Pnina Shenhav noted that following the consolidation of dialing zones, many more customers will be able to talk at local-call rates throughout the day.
