“Globes” has learned that Benny Steinmetz and Rasido FIBI are negotiating to enter as partners in Moldova Tur, a Moldova government tourism company that operates a casino in the capital Kishinev. A Rasido FIBI spokesman declined to comment. Rasido FIBI is owned by Tel Aviv Stock Exchange-listed Miloumor (Freddy Robinson) and Queenco (Yigal Zilka).
Moldova Tur was privatized by international tender and is now owned by Israel Avi Waks and an investor group headed by the InvestPro investment company. Following the entry of Steinmetz and Rasido FIBI, the group plans to expand its activities into other investments, including the acquisition of a local bank and local lotteries.
This would be the first gambling investment by Steinmetz, who has invested massively in technology companies in recent years.. Rasido FIBI, on the other hand, is already a partner in two casinos on Rhodes (28%) and mainland Greece (40%).
