Golden Tulip Hotels to manage Jerusalem hotel; negotiating to manage Tel Aviv hotel

The Jerusalem Gold Hotel, formerly Hotel Ram, is at the entrance to Jerusalem, above the old central bus station. The move will allow Golden Tulip Hotels to apply its international management methods, without involving partners.

Golden Tulip Hotels, of the Krasnopolsky international hotels group, has signed a 20-year agreement to manage Jerusalem Gold Hotel in Jerusalem. Golden Tulip Hotels, which manages a hotel on the Dead Sea, is negotiating a long-term agreement for a 140-room boutique hotel to be constructed in central Tel Aviv.

The Jerusalem Gold Hotel, formerly Hotel Ram, is at the entrance to Jerusalem, above the old central bus station. Its owners previously tried to manage it in the time share method. The hotel was renovated at a cost of $11 million. It will be fitted to meet Golden Tulip Hotels standards and positioned as a hotel for tourists and business customers.

The agreement to manage the Jerusalem Gold Hotel was signed late last week by Golden Tulip Hotels’ president, who also signed the deal whereby Golden Tulip Hotels bought A. Levy’s holding in the Golden Tulip hotel on the Dead Sea. The acquisition was made through a 25-year lease.

The move will allow Golden Tulip Hotels to apply its international management methods, without involving partners.
