The Hebrew daily “Yediot Ahronot” reports that the US Embassy in Israel will assist Israeli companies. Against the background of the security situation in Israel, the embassy initiated a delegation of executives from 15 Israeli companies to meet representatives of US corporations. The project is being organized by the US Department of Commerce and BIRD-F.
BIRD-F executive director Dov Hershberg said, “This is an initiative of the embassy, and a welcome effort by the economic attache. It has always been hard to bring leading US corporations to Israel, and it is now harder than ever. It is therefore preferable to organize trips by Israeli companies to the US.”
The delegation will consist of R&D companies with unique technology, after their first financing round. The meetings will be held in four separate rounds over a week. “The aim of the meetings is to create strategic partnerships with US companies, or find foreign companies to continue joint development,” said Hershberg.
