The SecureClick service will at first be offered to select American Express Israel customers.
American Express Israel today announced a new service, SecureClick, which will enable American Express credit card holders to make purchases over the Internet without disclosing credit card information. The original credit card number is replaced with a one-time transaction number that expires on completion of the deal.
The SecureClick service will at first be offered to select American Express Israel customers. At the beginning of March, the service will be available for all American Express Israel credit card holders.
The new service was developed by Israeli high-tech company Cyota, which specializes in secure payment solutions. SecureClick, the company’s flagship product, was developed under Professor Adi Shamir, an expert on security. Cyota’s product in its final testing stages by Isracard, which also markets American Express credit cards. The service will be offered to all Isracard customers in a few weeks.
Visa Israel Credit Cards is currently testing a similar product developed by Israeli high-tech company Appletix, managed by former Visa ICC general manager Zvi Meshi.
