Bell Canada chooses ClickSoftware scheduling solution

Service operations software developer Click Software (Nasdaq: CKSW) has announced the deployment of its ClickSchedule solution to Bell Canada, Canada's largest communications provider. No value was disclosed.

Bell Canada, a division of BCE, is using ClickSchedule to schedule data testing, problem resolution services and customer appointments for its Ontario data maintenance team. Bell's data maintenance team is responsible for maintaining and servicing a wide range of telecommunications products, ranging from legacy technology to the most current broadband services.

Bell Canada is using the product to ensure optimal customer responsiveness and resource utilization in a number of ways. The program will allow Bell Canada customers to schedule their own service calls over the Internet, reducing the time it takes to set up appointments. ClickSchedule will also be used in the company's call centers to book service calls.

ClickSoftware said that ClickSchedule would allow customers to schedule narrow appointment windows instead of appointments times like 9 am - 1 pm and 1 pm - 5 pm, and improve the utilization of the field force by minimizing travel time from customer to customer.

ClickSoftware shares closed on Tuesday in New York at $1.16
