Giga Information Group to set up research center in Israel

Giga's local branch, founded in 1998, has provided Israeli companies with information from its foreign analysts.

Giga Information Group (Nasdaq: GIGX) announced today that it is setting up a research center in Israel.

Alice Salpeter has been appointed research director, and will be Giga's first analyst stationed in Israel.

Salpeter will cover communications services and IP billing. She will also cover various aspects of the Israeli high-tech market. Salpeter will report directly to the parent company.

Prior to joining Giga, Salpeter was vice president and co-founder of e-learning start-up you-niversity.com of the Sela group, and a senior project manager at Amdocs (NYSE: DOX) Israel.

Giga was set up in 1996 by Gideon Gartner, a co-founder of the Gartner research company. At present, it has a client base of more than 1,500 corporations, including 150 listed companies.
