Partner considering merging marketing, sales divisions under present VP Sales

The move may be carried out if VP Marketing Yakov Kedmi departs for a senior post in Hutchison Europe.

Cellular company Partner Communications (Nasdaq: PTNR) is considering merging its marketing and sales divisions under VP Sales Effie Rosenhause. The move may be carried out following the possible departure of VP Marketing Yakov Kedmi for a senior post in Hutchison Europe. Hutchison is Partner’s controlling shareholder.

Sources inform “Globes” that Kedmi is still negotiating his terms, including the terms of his departure from Partner, with Hutchison.

Kedmi has a large number of Partner options, and he may lose some of them if he leaves the company. At the same time, the fact that Hutchison is Partner’s largest shareholder may allow him to prevent his rights from being undermined.

Partner is planning a major restructuring following Kedmi’s departure. The biggest change will be a merger between the marketing and sales divisions. Rosenhause will manage the sales division directly, and also be in charge of the marketing division.

Sources inform “Globes” that one of the candidates to head the marketing division is Moti Arbel, who heads Nokia Israel’s marketing division.

Partner’s spokesman would not comment on the report. Moti Arbel was not available for comment.
